** Republican leaders of the House Agriculture and Budget Committees last week announced HR 8069, the Farm Input Costs and Production Barriers Reduction Act.

This legislation would protect and promote American agriculture by knocking down the Biden administration’s regulatory barriers to domestic agricultural production, bringing immediate relief to producers and farm families.

The bill relieves the EPA’s unprecedented actions related to crop protection tools, offers clarification on WOTUS regulations and other provisions.

**USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced new efforts to prevent the introduction and spread of African Swine Fever in the United States

Through a campaign called Protect Our Pigs, APHIS will support pork producers, veterinarians and pig owners with information and resources to help protect the pig population.

APHIS Associate Administrator Dr. Jack Shere says, “The USDA is

working every day to prevent this disease from crossing our borders and the Protect Our Pigs campaign will help you.

**Representatives from 37 U.S. agricultural and agricultural organizations will join USDA Assistant Secretary Dr. Jewel Bronaugh on an agribusiness trade mission to London starting tomorrow.

They will engage directly with overseas buyers, receive detailed market insights from Foreign Agricultural Service and industry trade experts, and participate in site visits.

US agricultural exports to the UK totaled $1.9 billion in 2021.
