FashionTT will host a virtual trade mission

Trinidad and Tobago fashion industry icons Richard Young and Professor Andrew Ramroop will join Her Excellency Annalisa Low, T&T Ambassador to the Republic of China, as key presenters during a trade mission and of a virtual fashion exhibition to be held tomorrow, Friday, March 25, 2022, and organized by Trinidad and Tobago Fashion Company Limited (FashionTT).

A statement from the Department of Trade and Industry notes that in addition to virtual designer stalls – which include both static images and video – there will be a fashion showcase featuring Trinidad’s top eleven designers. -and-Tobago.

He said: “FashionTT has worked with designers for the past six years to ensure that their business operations, procedures and processes are globally competitive.”

The ministry also revealed that these designers “are ready to participate in this virtual trade mission with the aim of outsourcing textile sourcing, production and direct B2B meetings with potential buyers.”

FashionTT’s 11 Global Value Chain (GVC) Creators are: Individual Aesthetics; The fabric; Meiling; Charu Lochan Dass; Heather Jones; J. Angelique; Claudia Pegus; The clothes from the hiding place; Genesis swimwear; Neha Karina; and Ecliff Elie.

Trade and Industry Minister Paula Gopee-Scoon will deliver the keynote address at the event which will run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and will take place virtually on the portal, https://fashionevent.virtex.in/
