Governor Parson will go on a trade mission to Germany and the Netherlands


JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KFVS) – Missouri Governor Mike Parson will travel to Germany and the Netherlands as part of a trade mission lasting July 23-30.

“International business is important to Missouri’s success, and we look forward to meeting business leaders in Germany and the Netherlands to expand our opportunities,” Parson said. “Germany and the Netherlands are home to world-class businesses, many of which are already growing in our state. Our goal is to strengthen these relationships while promoting Missouri as an ideal location for additional investment.

In 2021, nearly $902 million in goods were exported to Germany and the Netherlands.

The most demanded items in Germany were chemicals and pharmaceuticals.

The main exports from the Netherlands were pharmaceuticals, semiconductors and other electronic components.

In Germany, he will meet:

  • Norman T. Scharpf, Consul General of the United States in Frankfurt
  • Pauline Kao, Consul General of the United States in Düsseldorf
  • Mona Neubaur, Deputy Minister-President of North Rhine-Westphalia
  • German Companies Established in Missouri

In the Netherlands, he will meet:
