Hoogendoorn Growth Management receives GSES sustainability certificate during Dutch trade mission to Dubai

It was a very good week for Hoogendoorn Growth Management. After winning the Smart Process Control award at the HillenraadTECH50 event in the Netherlands, another milestone was imminent, this time in the area of ​​sustainability.

At the trade reception of the Dutch Trade Mission to Dubai, Hoogendoorn was awarded the Global Sustainable Enterprise System – Leader in Sustainability Ratings and Corporate Governance Sustainability Certificate. The company achieved an A rating for sustainability, and this result shows that environmental, social and governance (ESG) policy plays an important role in the company.

Hoogendoorn received this certificate based on 5 pillars of sustainability;

– CSR (aligned with ISO 26000)

– Sustainable purchasing (aligned with ISO 20400)

-CO2 & Carbon reduction (aligned with ISO 50001)

– Health and Safety (aligned with ISO 45001)

– Circular economy (aligned with BS 8001)

Angela Barendregt, Project Manager International Business & Strategy, and Fouad Ababou, Area Sales Manager of Hoogendoorn, were also present at the Transparency House livestream – Powered by GSES-System & Data-for-Good, Expo 2020 Dubai edition at the Dutch Pavilion more early this week.

During this livestream, where Angela also acted as a co-host, they explained to the world what Hoogendoorn Growth Management stands for in terms of sustainability and innovation. The aim of The Transparency House is to raise awareness that we need to be more careful with our land, not only for ourselves, but especially for the next generations to come. With the new IIVO system, the most intelligent process computer they have ever built, Hoogendoorn has taken steps to contribute to this. With this new system, a grower anywhere in the world can reduce the use of all natural energy sources without compromising the quality of the harvest.

On top of that, we produce the world’s most durable and innovative process computer according to Hillenraad.

Regional Sales Manager Fouad Ababou mainly focuses on projects in the Middle East. He is particularly proud that Hoogendoorn, together with its partners and local growers, can improve horticulture in this region. He explains; “I’m glad we can help growers in this region with smart process automation so they can grow sustainably and with software in their language.”
