MDAC hosts incoming trade mission and showcase to promote Mississippi lumber

The Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce (MDAC) and the Southern United States Trade Association (SUSTA) have invited lumber buyers from the Dominican Republic

Czech Republic, Jamaica, Mexico, United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, Indonesia, Vietnam and China will visit Mississippi lumber exporters from Sunday, June 26 through Friday, July 1, 2022. In the As part of the trade mission, MDAC will also host a Wood Products Show June 29-30 at the Mississippi Trade Mart.

“I am proud of this opportunity for Mississippi lumber exporters and the entire lumber industry to visit delegations from nine important global markets,” said Agriculture and Trade Commissioner Andy Gipson, who is also president of SUSTA. “This showcase will bring together stakeholders to help strengthen Mississippi’s lumber industry in the areas of international trade, logistics, transportation and economic development. I encourage those interested in developing their export markets and business network to attend the first-ever Mississippi Wood Products Showcase. »

To attend and secure a reservation, participants must complete the registration form and pay by Wednesday, June 15. Participation levels include individual entry for $50; a 10 x 10 booth for $225; a 10 x 20 exhibit booth for $450; and a referral level of $1,000.
