Mexico’s Missouri Livestock and Genetics Trade Mission – Newstalk KZRG

(JEFFERSON CITY, Mo.) – The Missouri Department of Agriculture (MDA) is offering two Missouri cattle producers the opportunity to participate in the 2022 Mexico Beef Cattle and Genetics Trade Mission.

The trade mission will provide producers with the opportunity to better understand Mexico’s beef industry, participate in ranch tours, promote Missouri beef cattle and genetics, and expand their markets internationally.

The Missouri Department of Agriculture hosted two other events this year in conjunction with Mexico. We are always looking to connect breeders internationally and develop relationships.

This trip will also allow Missouri producers to learn about Mexico’s environment, genetic advancements, herd management and technology.

These components will be essential to commercialize future genetics in Mexico.

This international opportunity takes place October 25-28, 2022. All interested participants should complete the application and submit it to Taylor Buckley at [email protected] The application deadline is September 12 and a valid passport is required to participate.

The Missouri Department of Agriculture will cover airfare, accommodations, ground transportation (in Mexico), and a translator. The incidental costs, passport and meals will be borne by the participant.
