Trade mission to India 2022 – bpi

A UK music industry trade mission to India is set to take place from 22-26 August 2022, providing an open door for music businesses to explore business opportunities in the world’s seventh largest economy.

The Department for International Trade (DIT), in partnership with the AIM (Association of Independent Music) and the BPI (British Phonographic Industry) are organizing this musical mission to India, which will take place in Mumbai. After a hiatus during the pandemic, the event is now back as an in-person event where delegates can enjoy the musical event – All About Music

The music industry is growing in India, a country that is increasingly consuming international music and growing its association with the international music industry.

The mission will serve as a catalyst for collaboration, exploration and expansion of the UK music industry in India. It will include a program of education, networking, B2B meetings, conferences, showcases, visits to music company sites and other music-related activities.

Artists, managers, promoters, record labels, music publishers, digital distribution companies, bookers/directors/organizers and festival promoters, covering all genres of music are invited to participate and the mission organizers will adapt certain aspects of the program to suit all delegates.

Mission registration is just £100.00 per delegate and interested parties should note that funding may be available via DIT, details of which can be obtained via [email protected]

Some of the planned activities with the Deputy High Commission in Mumbai will include site visits, relevant to the delegation, as well as several opportunities for B2B meetings and networking with thought leaders and industry professionals. It will include all delegates attending the All About Music event in Mumbai.
