Trademark law firm Stobbs has expanded into Ireland with the opening of a new office in Dublin headed by Mary White.
The new office, based on Merrion Street, will support clients in Ireland and across the EU. Stobbs already represents a number of prestigious Irish clients and over 8,000 Irish and European brands.
Ms White, head of operations for the Irish office, said the move would provide “an exciting opportunity for Irish businesses to benefit from world-leading brand advisory services, as well as specialist local knowledge”.
In addition to its core offerings in trademark litigation and strategic business-focused advice on trademark portfolios, the firm assists clients internationally in litigation and enforcement. Stobbs’ services include an online brand enforcement team, investigation service and brand valuation services.
With over 200 employees and offices in Cambridge, London and Munich, the team celebrated the company’s ninth anniversary in March.
Ms White, who has a long-standing interest in training and development, said the Irish office will also provide new opportunities for Irish brand agents and interns.
“Stobbs is deeply committed to providing the best training in the industry,” she said. “Our program for new employees is structured not only around obtaining national and European qualifications, but also on practical experience in the field. It gives us business focus, as well as jargon-free communication skills, which our customers love. »
