I didn't start as a coffee expert. Years ago, I was just someone trying to wake up in the morning, drowning my tastebuds in sugar to mask the bitterness of bad grocery store beans.
My journey began with a single moment of curiosity: Why was that one cup I had in a tiny shop so much better than what I made at home?
That curiosity turned into an obsession. I spent years working as a barista, training with Q-graders, experimenting with extraction science, and ruining a few kitchen counters with coffee grounds along the way. I learned that coffee is part art, part science, and fully community.
I created Solidarita to be the resource I wish I had when I started. I’m here to translate the barista science into plain English, test the gear so you don't have to, and help you find the joy in the ritual of brewing.
